Absolutely! Each textbook has free content. Usually, the first example video in each section is free. For BYU Math 116, the entire first chapter is free. We encourage you to watch these videos to see how we can help you succeed in math!
While Khan Academy and similar resources can be useful, no other resources currently exist outside of publisher material that is tailored to your textbook. We at Symplit have organized content based on textbook, so it is always extremely easy to find help on the concepts you are struggling with.
Furthermore, the number of worked examples at Khan Academy and other places is severely limited, with usually only 2-3 examples per concept. In contrast, at Symplit we have many examples for each section (usually around 10). For the harder concepts, we make sure to have more examples so you can start to internalize the concepts and techniques in your class.
If you can’t find your textbook, send us an email at support@symplit.com, or visit our Contact Us page. Give us the name of your school, the name of your textbook, author, and edition. We will work on getting your textbook up as quickly as possible, and will update you on when it will be available.
Definitely! While our content is tailored to college level textbooks, many high school classes (AP and otherwise) cover the same concepts. If you’d like to see content for your textbook on Symplit, send us as message at support@symplit.com, or visit our Contact Us page.
Yes! We encourage you to try the practice problems listed on the PDF at the top of the section video pages before watching the videos. Also, study the handouts listed below the video links. Students are not able to download videos, due to copyright protections. However, when the Symplit app is available, students will be able to download videos into the app for use when an internet connection is not available.
We are in the process of developing an app. We do not have a current estimate for when it will be available. We will update our users as soon as we know.
